Feeding the Third World is not an easy endeavor especially, as so many are dying of AIDS. With millions of people starving to death and dying of HIV/AIDS where can you start to make a dent in the problem? There are orphans to feed, educate and train, as soon they will be running the society there. Then the agricultural infrastructure needs to be set up.

Of course a perfect model must be built to make it work. And thus, someone needs to ask where should this model be built? Land is plentiful in Africa, it is giant continent. Of course there is no land is some places with horrific living situations for instance in slum areas outside cities?

As the coordinator for the Online Think Tank, indeed I have been studying this problem. My current assessment of the situation and mind you that, I have not been to Africa is that things are pretty miserable in many parts of the continent. I would advise anyone serious about helping solve the issue that first they need to read the following books;

"Heart of Darkness" "Collapse" "Dark Star Safari" "The Constant Gardener"

and some of Allen Patton's books and John Le Carre, as well. Personally, I have stayed up on all the subject matter and take all the NGO online newsletters, follow the Davos Convention, Gates Foundation and read Foreign Affairs. I believe these are all important if anyone wishes to really help out in Africa.

These great African Leaders we hear about begging for funds to help their poor are extremely Machiavellian and those involved in helping, well you will be used by them to the best of their ability. These so-called African Leaders can be quite corrupt and many of them steal most of the aid and smile while they do it. It's all a game, nothing as it seems. Not good or bad, not to judge, it just is. It's all part of Diplomacy.
