Sammy Haggar’s 1967 Shelby GT500 Purchased by Noted Nebraska Collector

Mike Patak, owner of Mikes Classic Cars, LLC of Blair Nebraska purchased this outstanding collectible at the renowned Barrett-Jackson collector car auction in Scottsdale, Arizona in January of 2006. The vehicle is showcased at his dealership and on his website.

Omaha, NE (PRWEB) March 11, 2006 -- Mike Patak has been an avid classic and muscle car collector for over 30 years. He always had at least two cars starting when he was a young boy at the age of 16, when he got his first collector cars. He had one to drive and one to restore. Since those days, Mike has gone on to many endeavors and successes including his experience helping build Quality Pork International, the Worlds largest ham boning operation. Mike spent over 21 years building the ham giant, owning the company for the last 10 years. Mike has also had success stock car racing at a local track over the last five years. Starting and operating a premier quality classic and muscle car collection full time has always been a dream of Mikes. So a few years back he built a new building and has been traveling the country in search of the worlds best cars.

Mike has developed an outstanding reputation for finding the best quality classics and muscle cars you can available. For those vehicles he has restored, he is unwavering and uncompromising in his quest for perfection and accuracy. Mike also has a true passion for Shelby Mustangs. In fact, he has developed one of the most impressive, and probably one of the largest, Shelby Mustang collections in the Midwest. The collections current crown jewel is Mikes newest purchase, Sammy Hagars 1967 GT500, also known as the Red Rocker. It is among the finest examples of these highly collectible and rare muscle cars. Not only is it an outstanding vehicle, it boasts an autograph to Sammy Hagar from Carroll Shelby as well as the moniker Red Rocker scribed on the rear spoiler. The car was rebuilt in 1992-93 for Sammy and modified with Ford speed parts. Original paint was Nightmist Blue, now Guards Red with Black stripes for the Red Rocker. Interior is Black. Engine is a 427 High-Riser with a 5-speed transmission. Sammy is seen driving the car on the Long Road to Cabo DVD. Original specs verified by Deluxe Marti Report. Car is listed in the 1997 Shelby Registry. Along with the vehicle came several pieces of memorabilia, most notably a Sammy Hagar autographed guitar that seems it was made to match the car.

Anyone would be proud to own such a great collectible car. Mike is no exception. He will be showing the vehicle at the World of Wheels auto show at the Qwest Center in Omaha. The show runs March 10, 11, and 12, 2006. The car will also be on display at his dealership, located at 1940 Ridgeview Rd, Blair Nebraska. Mike welcomes visitors and is excited to share his collection with other enthusiasts.

The vehicle can be viewed at www.mikesclassiccars.net and also at www.classyauto.com. Mikes website was designed and is hosted by Classyauto.com.
