How to Build Credit and Maintain a Positive Credit Rating

Your credit report and score will influence many things in your life, i.e. the auto loan rate you receive, the mortgage amount you are approved for, etc.. Did you know that your credit can even determine whether or not you are hired for a new job? Your capability of managing your finances and debt can greatly determine the outcome of much of your personal life. Therefore, learning how to develop and maintain a strong credit rating is very crucial. Building Credit developing your credit is easier than you think. -- Put several utility bills in your name. Paying these bills on time every month will result in an improved credit score and rating.

-- Apply for a small unsecured loan. Making regular payments every month for a personal loan is a great method for building credit.


-- Apply for a credit card. There are a wide range of credit cards specifically designed for people with poor credit or no credit looking to build credit. There are many types of credit cards that are designed for people with no credit looking to build credit.


It is suggested that you follow at least two of the above tips. Also, every month, make sure that all of your creditors are reporting your account activity to all of the major credit reporting agencies.
